Mrs. Margaret Kigundu

Secretary

Margaret Kigundu was born and raised in Kampala, Uganda. At the age of 20 years, she moved to France for further studies and upon completion, she was fortunate to have found an opportunity to move to Geneva, Switzerland to work with the World Health Organization. An opportunity she now knows was ordained by God, leading her to do the work she does professionally and personally.

Growing up in a protestant family, she always knew of God but she really came to know and have an intimate relationship with Christ after she joined a local church named Crossroads located in a town called Ferney-Voltaire on the border with France and Switzerland. This relationship made her understand that God is alive and personal, understanding that He can make the impossible possible. The Scripture that led her to give her life over to Christ was 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here.” She read this Scripture asking God to transform her life, and she has never been the same.

As she has tasted the Lord’s goodness, she is extremely passionate that those who have not yet had a personal encounter with the Lord can come into His Kingdom of light. This is why she has partnered with some sisters and brothers in Uganda to create outreach programmes to reach the less privileged and marginalized individuals in the country by providing them with food and clothes as well as feeding them spiritually with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The team started this programme in 2017 and so far they have been to Bundibugyo district, Western Uganda, (bordering DRC, Congo); Kibale district, Western Uganda; Masaka, Sembabule district, Central Uganda; Tororo, Eastern Uganda; Butaleja in Eastern Uganda; and their next outreach programme is scheduled on 13-15 September 2022 in Nakaseke, Central Uganda.

Mrs. Kigundu is a generous giver and passionate soul-winner. She serves as the Secretary to the HOHIC Board.
